A Meeting by Wendell Berry

A Meeting
In a dream I meet
my dead friend. He has,
I know, gone long and far,
and yet he is the same
for the dead are changeless.
They grow no older.
It is I who have changed,
grown strange to what I was.
Yet I, the changed one,
ask: “How you been?”
He grins and looks at me.
“I been eating peaches
off some mighty fine trees.”

Luther's Road

Luther's Road

“This life therefore is not righteousness, but growth in righteousness,

not health, but healing, not being but becoming,

not rest but exercise.

We are not yet what we shall be,

but we are growing toward it,

the process is not yet finished, but it is going on,

this is not the end, but it is the road.

All does not yet gleam in glory, but all is being purified.”

 ― Martin Luther

I've returned.
To write again, once more.
Of all You have done for me.

"But I trust in you, O LORD;
I say, “You are my God.”
My times are in your hand
Psalm 31
