Its funny how so much can happen in a year and still things seem unchanged.
Its funny to me, how sometimes, you can go through life, learn so much, only to come and remember that you really don’t know very much after all.
My name is Laura Clawson and this is my story and that’s how I feel today,
A little forgetful.
Today, on this first full day of the Photojournalism , way down in the depths of humid Georgia. I feel forgetfully aware that I’ve got a lot to learn.
Today has been full of flashbacks. Flashbacks from last year when I was a student at PhotoJ in Big Sandy, going through this same curriculum.
Small concepts of ImagePuplishing rights and the 1-5 rating systems of light room are being refreshed in my mind.
The conceptual speed shoot s and the compelling images are pulling up old dreams and ideas that somehow got buried underneath my mile long list of things that must be done.
It seems to me that I’ve forgotten alot of these concepts, ideas, and stories that PhotoJournalism holds.
I also forgot how much I love it. This whole method of telling stories. I forgot how much stories affect people and how powerful my camera is as a tool to do that.
I’ve forgotten a lot of things.
But don’t worry… its all coming back.
